This place is amazing and I love going in to visit. You can even see a section of exposed footings going right back to the days it was built.The volunteers are so welcoming and always take the time to explain things and answer questions.You can hear the bells from everywhere in the town, although I do hear that they are on the look out up boost numbers.I must be honest and admit I only really attend service on midnight Mass so I am not the expert on the regular sunday service! But midnight Mass is wonderful with great music and singing, I always find it uplifting and moving. Sets me right up for Christmas!
We are very fortunate to have this wonderful ancient church in Romsey. We visited with family over Christmas and they loved it. It's so interesting with so much history. They have volunteers to answer questions and they couldn't be more welcoming of children. If you are in the area please go and experience this beautiful Abbey.
An oasis of tranquility. And its free to enjoy! Unlike some Cathedrals where one can pay up to 25 per person to wander. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful Abbey Church at the centre of the community. The acoustics are amazing and there are various concerts throughout the year. Choral evensong is a joy with a very good choir.
